Our first video shoot ever!
admin on Sep 17th 2010
I have to appologize for not keeping the blog up-to-date. For those who are not on our Facebook Fan page, might think we are inactive lately. The fact is, we have been so busy with weddings / engagements / new initiatvies this year, we barely have time to blog. We found the easiest way is to do a batch blog update as well as adding photos on our Facebook page.
Without further ado, I would like to present one of the projects we have been busy with – our first video production!!!
This trash the dress was definitely fun to shoot. We did not want to just do a trash the dress session where you get the dress dirty just for the sake of it. So we came up with a storyline together with our Bride and Groom. They both liked ice-cream and the beach, with that input we went away. We did some brainstorming, added some twist to it (you will see it in the video – hint: paint), and re-group again with our couple, they liked the idea and then the date was set.
The whole shoot took about 3-4 hours… we were able to pull everything together fairly quickly. We also had another team shooting along side with us as well for another purpose, which I will disclose in a later date.
Overall, we had fun, it was more than we expected. And certainly you can tell from they video our Bride and Groom (Danielle and Erik) had fun too. Definitely looking forward for more opportunities like this in 2011.
If you would like to have videography included in our services, please let us know. I will be glad to provide you with more information and pricing.
Thanks,
Fred

When I step into Bessie’s house, she said to me “I don’t have my gown on yet, cuz you need to take some picture of it!” I love it when the bride say this, that means they care about every little detail at the wedding like I do. Once I know this, I took particular attention to what she has done for her wedding, and just as I thought, I found a little charm attached to her bouquet. It was something special her friend made for her. She was surprised that I saw it before she tells me about it. That’s how a photographer should be, notice details and record it. There are so many things in a wedding and we as artists are there to capture them for the bride and groom. Hopefully ten years later, their memory lane will be as fresh as it was today when they look at our pictures.

I was hyped the night before this wedding day… When we first met, Mike told me about his idea of having a school bus instead of a limo… this was what I wanted for my own wedding and got turned down!! Now he is living my dream!! So I was definitely hyped to shoot on that day. But the bus was only part of the reason, the other is that Andrea and Mike are very genuie people. Even Andrea’s mom is really cool, we talked while Andrea was getting her makeup done I felt like I was talking to my friend. She called me “FOB” (even though obviously I am not…. or am I?!?! …. hmmm) and we were joking around. The wedding was great, we had some great and fun pics with the school bus.
